However, we offer so much more! Pelvic Coaching can bridge the gap to offer other options for clients. Including

Pelvic PT is the better option if you are needing support and guidance through a recovery process. Many of our PT clients are dealing with pain, loss of pelvic functional abilities, or changes in sensation or control. These appointments tend to be in-person and are scheduled in advance for a full plan of care. It is often helpful to discuss your concerns with a medical provider and have a referral script for Pelvic PT.
Our Pelvic Coaching is if you are the independent individual who wants a plan of attack and check-ins on a less frequent basis. Many of our Pelvic Coaching clients have gone through the recovery process and are looking to maintain and enhance their wellness after going through the hard work of recovery! These appointments tend to be virtual and are scheduled as needed.
What should I expect during Pelvic Physical Therapy?
Pelvic Physical Therapy sessions begin with an evaluation. The evaluation is going to be start by getting to know you - your story, your goals, your expectations, and so much more.
Next, you will have a comprehensive physical that looks at the key areas which are indicated by your story. This often includes looking at the abdomen, the hips, the pelvis, and may include or exclude other areas as indicated.
Those findings in combination with your lived experience will be used to create a plan of care with expected number of sessions and a timeline to achieve your goals. Finally, you will leave with homework to start creating change to reach your goals!
PT evaluations will take 75-90 minutes and cost $290. PT treatment sessions are 55 minutes and cost $230. Services can be provided in your home for an additional $50 travel fee. Weekend and after-hour appointments are available on a case-by-case basis.
What should I expect during Pelvic Coaching?
Similar to Pelvic Physical Therapy, coaching begins with a conversation. For coaching, this means getting to know you - identifying where you are in your wellness journey and where you want to end up.
Next, you will be guided through a discovery phase for your health habits, lifestyle choices, and best options for training and recovery. Based upon your plans, we will collaborate to create a roadmap for your journey. This includes actionable habits, lifestyle changes, and can include an introductory exercise program.
Together, we will pick key performance indicators as signs that your journey is on track. Additional coaching sessions are based upon need. So whether you are looking for a preventative plan with a single session or monthly check-ins as you progress along your roadmap, anything is possible!
Initial coaching sessions will take 50-60 minutes and cost $200. Follow-up coaching sessions are 30 minutes and cost $125.
Do you take insurance?
Brooklyn Pelvic Wellness is an out-of-network provider. If you have out-of-network benefits, then you may file for reimbursement with your insurance provider using an itemized Superbill. Please ask for an itemized Superbill at time of evaluation to have one provided for sessions rendered.
The itemized superbill is a detailed invoice that itemizes the physical therapy services you have received. It will have the information necessary to create a healthcare claim, and allows you to submit your own insurance claim and potentially receive direct reimbursement from your health insurance company. Please note that the superbill does not guarantee payment from your insurance provider.
If you do not have insurance or out of network benefits, we recognize the many challenges with costs of medical care and have additional finance options available. Please reach out if you need to discuss additional finance options.
